About FlashFab

FlashFab provides digital software designed to simplify the specification, pricing, approval and ordering of bespoke fabricated products.

The platform enables contractors and other customers to create or upload product profiles, review digitised drawings, select specifications, view prices provided or approved by their chosen fabricator, approve drawings and submit orders.

FlashFab provides the technology used to facilitate this process.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, FlashFab does not manufacture or supply the fabricated products ordered through the platform.

The contract for the manufacture and supply of those products is between the customer and the relevant fabricator.

Pricing

Prices displayed through FlashFab are calculated using pricing information and rules supplied or approved by the relevant fabricator.

Each fabricator remains responsible for its own pricing, commercial terms, product availability, manufacturing capability, delivery charges, lead times, credit arrangements, invoicing, warranties and supply of goods.

Where a price requires confirmation by the fabricator, this will be made clear before an order is confirmed.

Drawings and specifications

FlashFab helps convert customer sketches, drawings and information into structured digital fabrication specifications.

Customers are responsible for checking all dimensions, angles, quantities, materials, colours, finishes, orientation, coated faces, welts, returns and other relevant information before approving an order.

The final approved drawing and specification provide a record of what the customer has instructed the fabricator to manufacture.

Customers should only approve a drawing when they are satisfied that it accurately represents the product they require.

Manufacturing responsibility

The relevant fabricator remains responsible for determining whether an approved product can be manufactured safely and appropriately using its machinery, materials and manufacturing processes.

FlashFab may perform automated checks against manufacturing rules supplied by a fabricator. These checks are intended to assist the ordering process and do not replace the fabricator’s professional or manufacturing judgement.

Fabricator and customer relationships

FlashFab is designed to support the existing commercial relationship between fabricators and their customers.

Fabricator-specific pricing and confidential commercial information will not be made available to competing fabricators.

FlashFab does not rank fabricators by price or automatically redirect an order addressed to one fabricator to another.

Intellectual property

The FlashFab name, branding, software, interface, technology and documentation are owned by or licensed to Exall Group Limited.

Users retain ownership of original drawings, sketches and other content they submit.

By submitting content to FlashFab, users grant us the rights reasonably necessary to process, store, reproduce and transmit that content for the purpose of providing the FlashFab service.

Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee that FlashFab will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available.

We may update, modify or temporarily suspend parts of the service where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, compliance or product development.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FlashFab is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect information entered or approved by a user, manufacturing decisions made by a fabricator, installation or use of fabricated products, or delays, defects or failures relating to the manufacture, delivery or supply of goods by a fabricator.

Governing law

These terms and the use of FlashFab are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory legal rights that apply.

Sharing information with fabricators

When a contractor creates or submits an order, information necessary to process that order may be shared with the selected fabricator.

A fabricator’s confidential pricing structure will not be disclosed to competing fabricators.

Service providers

We may use trusted third-party providers for services such as cloud hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, analytics, security, monitoring, document generation and customer support.

Where these organisations process personal information on our behalf, we require appropriate data-protection and security arrangements.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable data-protection law.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.

Because FlashFab provides records of quotations, drawings, approvals and orders, certain transaction records may be retained for several years following completion of an order.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, but security forms part of the design and operation of FlashFab.
